Kysa Siovan is calling it quits

A love triangle, sibling rivalry, a May-December romance – all of these elements make up the popular web series, Stirred, Not Shaken, and after two years of producing this juicy series, Kysa Siovan is calling it quits….to the way she has been approaching the show.

“It’s not enough to create a good show, I realized the best way for a web series to be successful is to make it a marketing tool for businesses,” says Kysa, who has been writing, directing and co-starring in the popular show.

Needless to say, wearing multiple hats has been a challenge and getting people to understand exactly what a web series is has been even harder. The talented actress (who is also a singer and musician) states that Stirred, Not Shaken “is an urban soap opera shown exclusively on the Internet,” but now her “urban soap” can be seen on television in Nashville on NECAT Channel 19, an achievement that is unheard of in the web series craze. This welcomed boost in exposure adds more responsibility to her plate, “most people who are watching the show on TV have never heard of it and since the show is based in Nashville, I have to make sure it represents Nashville in a positive light.”

Based on the positive reviews of Stirred, Not Shaken, Kysa is moving the show in the right direction. Gearing up for the release of the “season finale” of the show, she promises to leave her growing audience wanting more which includes loyal viewers from Canada and Paris, France.

“In addition to showcasing local talent on Stirred, Not Shaken, it’s my duty to show the public what a web series can do as far as promoting. People place emphasis on advertising on their local television or radio station, but with the Internet the possibilities are endless,” adding that right now she is offering free advertising and has the ability to film at local establishments.

“You never know, someone in St. Louis could watch us and see your restaurant or clothing store on the show and want to visit when they come to Nashville. With technology, you have to think outside of the box in terms of marketing and you can start with Stirred, Not Shaken.”
